2016 TFL Pairings and Suggested Scheme Pool

The TFL is happy to announce the creation of pairings for all conferences. If you don't see yours on here please let Dan Miner or Chris Weinstein know.

You can find pairings here:

Scott Wilson put together a set of suggested scheme pools (everyone should be playing the same Strategies and Deployment). Your conference point of contact will be able to tell you if your specific conference is using these. Use what your conference PoC tells you to use for a pool.

Strategy and Schemes for each game are also posted here:

2016 TFL League Announcements

Organizers of the TFL have been busy and have given us more information. I have added to the page an About / FAQ (found at the top of this page) as well as filled in the current information for representatives (PoC) for different stores and clubs. The West Coast Conference is still filling out.

There is still a month to get added to the list as the TFL doesn't kick off until Sept. 1 2016.

More can be found out over at the TFL FB Page

2016 TFL Beginnings...more to come!

Essentially, after a lot of brainstorming and discussion, it seems like we have a lot of people interested in the TFL across  the country. It seems like it could be the biggest Malifaux event ever to be run at this point.  The best way to handle this is to have the TFL split into 2 coasts that run simultaneously with the same rules and prize support.

Last year we started the TFL, we had 70 players spread across 11 gaming groups (conferences) from PA to MA.  It was a league that ran from September to November and ended with championships in NJ.  We had about $1,000 worth of prize support including custom fate decks that everyone went bananas for on AWP.

So this year moving forward we would essentially take signups from gaming groups from across the country (USA) and get them into the East or West coast depending on if they would make finals in NJ or most likely CA.

In order for a gaming group to be a conference they need to have at least 4 players who are willing to commit to 2 games a month for 3 months, and have players willing to travel to the championships in their respective coasts.

Opponents will be scheduled ahead of time and each month feature different schemes and strategies. On the date of the finals (TBD, potentially Dec. 10th) there will be 2 championship tourneys, and there will be open tourneys running at the locations the same day and time.  The champions from each conference (gaming group/store) would compete in the championships and everyone else can play in the open tourney.

For prize support we had custom scheme markers, tourney trays, and widgets for all conference champions.  We also had trophies for first and second place.  In addition we have a plaque for the winner and store to have their name added to it annually.  We also had participation prizes for all participants, and raffle prizes and will try and continue and expand upon this.

Last year entry fee was $10 for the league (including the tourney), this year we are considering making it $15 to make sure to cover a participation prize for every single player.  Stay Tuned for more information on sign-ups, registration, deadlines/dates!

We would like to use this site as a place of updates that anyone can access and get information about.
